Hi all...

Dunno what you guys have planned for Merdeka, thought I might interest you in Zeta Bar.

Tentative dates: 30/8/07 or 31/8/07
Venue: Zeta Bar @ KL Hilton (located at KL Sentral)
Time: Clubbing hours

Zeta Bar is a really nice lounge, parking costs a bomb so we all wanna go in as few cars as possible. I might be working on Friday (31/8/07) and if that's the case, we shall go on Merdeka nite itself. Thursdays = Ladies Nite, so free entrance and free flow (until a certain time) for all ladies if we go on 30/8/07. Not sure if much of you fancy clubbing, we'll plan upon the response lah.

Come people, geroff your asses and have a run!

Date: Sunday, August 26, 2007
Time: 7.30 am
Venue: MPSJ @ USJ 5
Fee: RM10 (RM20 after Aug 10)

I'm interested in two categories: (a) 10km Women/Men Open (b) 3km Fun Run

Depending on the situation i.e. physical and mental health and how many peeps are joining and who is joining, I'll choose either one la. My colleague wants to join but he wants to do the 3km run. If more peeps are doing the 10km, then I'll go for it.

Closing date for registration is: August 10, this Friday. All those interested please let me know, I'll get my bf to register for us. (After August 10, the registration fee will be doubled to RM20)

Collection of number tags and t-shirts:
23 and 24 August (Thursday & Friday)
10am-6pm
25 August (Saturday)
10am - 5pm

Collect earlier to grab the free t-shirts. T-shirts on first come first serve basis, subject to validity.

p.s. If you run with Ee-Wah, it will be more like...a walk :p

EDIT: I'm signing up for 3km run. Tak larat 10km.

Found out although there were nicer things about wordpress, there were many limitations which I was not familiar with and too tedious to learn how to overcome them... After all, this is all about convenience no? :P

SUBANG JAYA: Resident overweight monitor-potato suggests revival of weekend sports activities via an online portal to improve communications between friends.

Weighing at a hefty 69kg, Woon Wu Lin, 23, has decided to stop merely talking about making the flab go away and merely relying on a diet to help him gain a figure to rival Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt. Instead, he will turn to his favourite sport: badminton.

"I'm tired of carrying around this extra weight. And, I'm sure losing all that fat will help with appealing to the ladies," Woon said with a particularly disturbing grin.

To grease the undertaking of such a plan, Woon has enlisted the help of his long-time friend and tech-whiz Amy Tan Hui Ling, to set up a Wordpress blog which would enable easy access for friends and future interested parties to confirm their attendence for sports activities.

"The site will prove really useful. We can also organize activities such as movie outings and so forth in a cost effecient manner," he said.

Amy Tan was similarly optimistic about the project and said, "I hope that we will have hunky dory fun."

Woon explained that the system allowed anyone interested in organizing an activity to post an event. Interested parties would then confirm their participation or make suggestions by leaving comments for each related post.

To kick it off, he has decided to formally organize a badminton game this upcoming Saturday (August 5th) from 8.30pm till 10.30pm. The number of interested parties will be the deciding factor if this program will become a reality. Interested parties are encouraged to confirm their attendence as soon as possible.
